Our Hotel Rooms

Close to the A5 motorway, directly off the A8 Stuttgart–Pforzheim at exit 42 – and just three minutes later, you’ll arrive at ***Hotel Sonne in Karlsruhe’s Stupferich district.

We are a family-run hotel with heart and history – lovingly managed by our family for three generations, with warmth and a personal touch.
Whether you are travelling for business, passing through, planning a weekend getaway, attending a conference or enjoying a family holiday – we offer the right place to unwind for every kind of stay.

Set in a quiet elevated district of Karlsruhe, yet still within easy reach of the city centre, we offer 74 comfortable hotel rooms spread across five buildings, each with its own welcoming and personal atmosphere.

Every stay is different, which is why we offer a variety of room types to suit different travel styles and needs:

Single and double rooms can be booked directly online.
Multi-bed and family rooms, as well as our apartment, can be reserved by phone or e-mail.

We also offer wheelchair-accessible rooms, allergy-friendly rooms and a designated smoking room.

► Every room is equipped with a shower, toilet, hairdryer, flatscreen TV, telephone, towels and soap.

Families are very welcome here: Children up to 6 years stay free of charge when sleeping in their parents’ bed. If you would like to book additional extras – such as a baby cot, bringing your dog or any other special requests – simply let us know during the booking process so we can prepare everything for your arrival.

Our Room Categories

The choice is yours: Our single and double rooms are available in three different categories, varying in size, location and features – yet all of them share one thing in common: a cosy and welcoming atmosphere designed

Our Comfort Rooms are located on the ground and first floors, quietly facing the rear side of the property and offering the most space – perfect for guests who enjoy a little extra room to relax.

The Standard Rooms combine pleasant comfort with an excellent balance of quality and value.

Our Economy Rooms are the budget-friendly option: some feature sloping ceilings, others are available as twin rooms or cosy single rooms – ideal for short stays or for guests who appreciate comfort without unnecessary extras.
Three of our Economy Single Rooms also come with a balcony.

Start your morning with a generous breakfast in our light-filled conservatory restaurant.
Look forward to a varied buffet with a wide selection of breakfast favourites.
One special feature: we also serve homemade sausages from our own butchery and lovingly prepared jams.

For early risers and business travellers, breakfast is ready from 6:00 a.m. on weekdays.

Our Restaurant

In the evenings, our restaurant serves fresh regional dishes and traditional specialities from the Baden region. Alongside our regular menu, we offer a changing seasonal selection and chef’s specials inspired by fresh ingredients and new ideas.

We still value traditional craftsmanship, and many of our products are homemade and prepared in-house.
